Are You Out of Popsicle Sticks?

The Popsicle Stick is a teaching technique, an active learning teaching technique to get at this. Everybody's given a certain number of Popsicle Sticks and you give a different number of Sticks depending on how big the class are. It regulates or equalizes who's speaking in a classroom. And then once some people have lost their Popsicles Sticks, the teacher can say things like, okay, who still is a Popsicle stick? Because it's getting quiet in here.
