If you order a urine protein creatinine ratio and the ratio's one, that's predicting on a 24 hour collection, there'd be one gram protein area. And if the ratio's two, it's roughly predicting two grams on a 24-hour collection. So I caution you with that analogy, though it's commonly used, it really doesn't hold up. It needs to be closer to four or five for it to be greater than the 3.5 grams for this classic definition of product syndrome.
