On March 26, 2018, a family van carrying a white lesbian couple, Jennifer and Sara Hart,  and their six adopted Black children drove off a cliff and into the ocean in Mendocino, California. As authorities try to piece together what happened, they realize the family is internet famous. And as the story of the family's final months come together, a tale of abuse, neglect, and racism comes into focus, culminating in almost unimaginable horror.
