i think it's a major, sort of part of the explanation about why both these parties seem determined to be a minority parties. And so that the second they get a hint of being a majority party, they start working their hardest to figure out a way to lose power. So you have collective action problems on both sides, where doing what is in the interests of the institution and the country may be obvious, but they're in nobody's personal self interest. No no faction's personal selfinterest. And so they just go along with the mob, and things get worse.
