Polylith uses the idea of Lego, but for code. A component could be a piece, a brick, a Lego bridge that you can reuse in several ways. The big parts of Polylith are our components, and then we have something called basis. And that is also a kind of special kind of component. If you think about Lego, if you're going to build like a house, you often have some base play where you put your Lego bricks on it. In code, that could be like, if you have like a fast API app, maybe a base could be where you define the endpoints,. Like you use the API decorator style or something like that.
