The Fed's Reaction Function?

The jobs reported from January suggest the economy is still running pretty hot. I would suspect that Powell and the other Fed governors are a little puzzled by why it's taking so long for these massive rate hikes to filter through to the job market. Let's just assume the Fed was not sharing the latest employment data. It's counting on a softer economy to cool inflation. How do you think the Fed is likely to react? Honestly, a little bit puzzled by the Fed's reaction function.
