The Gift of Friendship

LZ Granderson: Friendship isn't only one thing, one note or one song. It's a seasonal symphony that ebbs and flows, it's birthed, it breathes, and sometimes it dies. For the friendship of starlings, perched high on branches, street signs and power lines, then flying off together an instinctual formation yielding and submitting to one another. May we learn the generosity of water, the steadiness of trees, the seasonality of flowers, and the rhythms of day and night. Here's to you, a friend to someone. And here's to you or someone who is a friend to you.
