The Importance of Cybernetics
Cybersson not as an actual material thing but as a as like an ideological totem right and so in that regard you don't even have to really be aware of it for it to still be influencing your interest or your thinking around reviving cybernetics. Stafford Beer is a fascinating character in many respects but he comes from two worlds and that's how he would probably describe himself one as a creationso operational research a discipline that's now almost been forgotten but which was huge in the 1940s during the second world war especially in the industry.
