The Importance of Microaggression
Microaggression are subtle racial slights that communicate inferiority or right. So there are subtle ways of being racist, where it's not overt enough for someone to call you racist from engaging in a microaggression but they still do harm. Who have been the most important voices speaking out against racism on the internet? You know, I am intentional about not studying famous people. But by and large, what I want to do in the book is look at how everyday people talk about and understand race and racism online.
