The Crusaders and Antioch

Latin translators were able to continue where the Arabs are left off, as it were. The first substantial translation movement was in the last quarter of the 11th century. And we have evidence of a particular scholar called Stephen of Antioch who came from Pisa. He wanted to introduce to the Latins the works on the body of the medicine so he could progress later when he had actually practiced his translating skill.
