Biometrics in the Horn of Africa

Biometrics are something that we measure about a person in order to verify their identity. One physical identifier is becoming kind of an established technology, the irises of your eye. Some airports use iris scans, but the largest application for this technology is in india for its national i d programm. But in november 20, seventeenth, a first ever use of iris scans was made in independent nation of samali land. They became the first country in africa and the first in the world, to use the irish recognition based biometric voting system.
