I needed the book. And I'll- I was just a spoiler alert, a spoiler alert for that book. If I recall the plot correctly, the young girl doesn't have a robot at the other end. She has a human being, and that's the only difference. That's why it worked. But yeah, I mean- Yeah, we don't want to spoil the book for people,. but it is interesting that many people, including myself, have some like spark of inspiration from the book.
