Debussy's Tristan and Isolda
Debussy begins his piece with one of the most famous flute solos in the entire classical repertoire. The interval from the top of the first scale that the flute plays to the bottom is a tri-tone. In three perfectly-called measures, Debussy has appended the entire harmonic structure of music while retaining tonality.
