The Tories Aren't Used to Having to Plan Ahead

Since 1992, there's been no major successful wave of strike action in the UK. They aren't used to union action on this scale and they don't really know how to handle it effectively. The only thing that would work frankly would be indefinite, hard strike actions that essentially force the government to a crisis point where they have to make some concessions. I don't know whether we'll see that. This is one of the unknowables of the situation. We might cave. A lot depends on the subjectivity of the unions,. How willing they are, how far they'll go.
