The History of the Franks

Unlike the Goths and Vandals the Franks had not been converted to Christianity. The Franks remained unabashedly pagan until 496 when King Clovis converted to Catholic Christianity. It may have caused tensions with other Franks at the time but many followed in their leaders wake, which had important consequences for the integration of the Franks within the Gallo-Roman population that they ruled over.
