The Journey to CMMC Certification

There's about 117 standards that are based on some NIST recommendations, which the NIST recommendations have been in place for the primes for a long time. When they rolled out the CMMC program, it expanded it to not just the primes, but anybody who's going to touch those products that are sensitive now or what they call CUI. The government already has a process for if you're handling classified information. But there was a lot of sensitive projects, parts, documents that they weren't classified, but they're still kind of sensitive.
