The character of mark spectre has been defined by his misery. He's a guy who's always just sort of guilty and at war with his own mind. I was like, if we make this guy a puppy dog and make the audience fall in love with him, then we're going to like him for that reason. And so my, my big idea coming in was like, we need to take one of his altars, stephen grant. So i think your instincts are dead on about there being something more than what you first thought. But it was really hard to put that into words because people don't want to know how he feels.
