Is This Like Indiana Jones? I'm a Poet Expert and I've Never Read This Before

The poem is about a boy who steals a boat and goes off into nature. He comes upon something that kind of chills him, like Indiana Jones coming to the entrance of the Peruvian temple in the opening scene. So he turns around a little bit leaves both behind and walks away. The danger also of it stays with me till this day.
