The fund was known as Bogles Folly. The original underwriting was supposed to be 150 million. Over the past decade, between 71 and 93% of US stock mutual funds either closed or failed to beat their closest index funds. It's going to be a lot cheaper than buying those separate actively managed funds. And as the data have shown again and again, it will likely perform better as well.
