The Struggle to Make a Movie About Animal Abuse
I didn't even know who to turn to. I thought he was my end. It was a real seat of my pants, which it would have been anyway. The only one that was difficult was the Mary legs, the little gray pony, because we just, that pony was not a movie trained horse yet. And so that pony had a harder time. Because of that, when we went to do Buddy, which has a troop of chimpanzees, I said I would not make that film unless the chimps had six months of training. Those chimps were better than the actors. Yeah.
