The word philosophy was introduced into English from Anglo-Norman French. It's love of knowledge, the phillobit is love and the Sufi bit is knowledge. The word has been prostituted in all sorts of ways over the years. Jonathan Ray talks to Michael O'Leary about what it means to be a philosopher.
