People are getting at this idea that somehow the incumbent has some benefit, some head start in the race. But what happened here was the result of a constitutional amendment which required overwhelming support to pass. How many terms you've served already does not appear in the Constitution. Therefore, it's not a thing to be dealt with. There is no constitutional way to deal with this.
