Psychologists don't know where the propensity to clutter comes from. Is it something that emerges in childhood or do you become a clutterer as an adult? And is it learned so that if you had parents who maybe were tolerant of stuff or were cluttery themselves, does that make you aclutterer or not? "There's no biology behind clutter," he says.
