In the book, farmere does not like to pick that ring up on the side of the road if i saw it lying there. He resists the ring fully. Then you see, the comparison is like his brother, who sort of does the same thing. Meanwhile, bilbo ii cuts to bilbo watching thorin, not Thoran. It's a great moment where all the dwarfs are turned and are watching ali town with horror. And a couple of them are like, crying, and genuinely, or just like, oh god. Thats thot, is it?
