How to Treat Appendicitis With IV Antibiotics

After Queen Victoria died in 1901, Prince Albert Edward also developed an appendicitis 12 days before his coronation. Over time, we have moved on from an open surgical procedure to laparoscopic procedures where we make very tiny incisions. If you are a doctor at Australian Antarctic stations, you do need to have your appendix removed because there's usually only one doctor at the station during winter. We've begun to manage some cases of appendicitis with antibiotics alone.
