Most MPs, because they're working Westminster, are so pointless. What they mostly get is shit that should have gone to the local council. That's partly to do the utter failure of local governments as well - isn't it? Exactly. A system like although not perfect, but for instance in Greece, where you have a number of MPs that are regionally elected and then a number ofMPs that come from a list on a proportional representation thing. So you effectively have these two bodies that go side by side, keeping in touch with each other. But one is freer, basically, nine to five weekdays to look at legislation.
