Action Movies - What Is It All About?

I wanted to make something that was not ironic. I didn't want to protect myself with comedy, although it is funny but my character isn't aware of himself being funny. So there'si have that protection of my character winking at the camera going, you know, this is crazy, what i'm doing. He believes in what he's doing. In the movie, nobody. so that's where you can really embarrass yourself. But i don't know what the joy is in this business without the danger as part of it and taking that risk.
