In the Florida Everglades, there lives a half-feral community of around 50 squalies as they're known to Floridians. The reason these pig people exist is explained by locals in several different variations. A government science experiment gone horribly wrong, generations of inbreeding or even ongoing bestiality with the wild hogs that roam the area.
