Melatonin can help regulate cortisol levels in the evening. Alcohol is a sedator, so it's not actually helping you sleep. Make sure you chat with your doctor about trying melatonin before going to bed. It helps my quality of sleep, particularly if I'm stressed or going through a period of transition.
