Oceangate, the company that owns the Titan, released a statement saying it believes the passengers of the Titanic-bound submersible have been lost. Over the past week, both before and after the company confirmed the fate of this submersible, this story just engulfed my Twitter feed. People are making jokes about a situation that for the first few days was objectively kind of funny. But other people are yelling at them for making jokes about what is also objectively kind of sad.
