Lacan's New Master Signifiers

In the analyst discourse what is being produced are these new master signifiers or as you called it "stupidities" in psychoanalysis. Lacan says that there needs to be a new signifier and not just like replacing it with any old signifier which he's trying to point out in his concept of feminine response. Bruce Fink's really good on this when he talks about the analyst discourse as provoking what is called negative transference. In elaborating the new stupidity as a master signifier  in order to rework the barrier the battery of signifiers right if you will. It seems as though the analyst takes on the object cause of desire the analyst shows up in the dreams
