The Paris Arena and the Bellapoc of the End of the 19th Century

The Roman Arena was only discovered when they were trying to build a bus depot in the 1880s. The Carousel du Louvre is an underground shopping mall built on foundations of walls put there by Charles V at the end of the 14th century during the Hundred Years War. A cemetery that was created in 1794 for victims of the guillotine has been turned into a funeral ground, but it's rather folkloric things about it which actually gives an incredible sense of intensity.
