Choosing the Right Weapon of Choice for a Programmer

For a very long time, I have thought that the best way to hire programmers is to ignore the languages that they know. Because languages are ephemeral. They come and go. It's not hard to learn a language. If you've got a project and it happens to be an elixir, well, you don't need to go out and hire elixir programmers. Find programmers who know how to write code in any language, hire them, and you'll be much better off.
