Nica: I don't see an inherent conflict between having vividly drawn characters that you can identify with, and having a strong mythic element. i think that is what any modern pantasy game of thrones, lord of the rings, whatever, or even syphi or others. They're trying to give you human elements to hook on to,. so that even an antigone, i think you're supposed to be able to sympathize with antigone. Or certainly is na, or some of the other characters.
