The Importance of Playing Safe

I thought Holland might take a little while to adapt, and he didn't. I made the assumption that we'd seen Salah being spared around Champions League matches. He played way more than I think was. That was one of the big surprises with him all season in that he was very rarely rested and he very rarely came off early. It is really hard to recover if those don't go your way. And if we just played it safe from gone with those, we would have been in a better position. Rick Frost makes a very good point there. But generally speaking, if you think about it purely from a falling sense, I don't think any of those decisions were completely ridiculous.
