The Effects of Breaks on Productivity
Harvard Business Review: Brain activity was lower if people didn't take breaks during meetings. What you do during that break time seems like as though it may have implications for your focus or your ability to be successful when you get back to it, so to speak. There's still some things that could be tweaked and we still haven't looked at all the data, but that was one direction that we were thinking about in terms of activity.
