Is the Flood Narrative Fully Literal?

The way in which these chapters are written needs to be further studied so that we can properly understand what they are and what they're trying to teach us. We haven't even begun to look the details of the flood narrative to determine how they should be understood. The church regards all of us as good catholics, as long as we recognize that the text is divinely inspired,.
