The Grumman Wildcat was one of the most successful fighter aircraft in World War II. John L. Smith took eight enemy aircraft for Betty's and four zeros on August 30th. By October he had 19 kills, standing atop the heap as the highest scoring American ace at that time. "These are just they're just awesome. These guys are just amazing"
