Job, What Hope Could You Have to Defend Yourself?
If we take seriously how job was first presented as the ideal type of the ideal man type and shadow of christ, then it doesn't apply to job. He's still going to push back. So please take your own advice. And if you want somebody to repent, then look in the mirror and repent yourself. In verse ten, they have gaped upon me with their mouth. Reproachfully, they've gathered themselves together against me. God hath delivered me to the ungodly. He's turned me over into the hands of the wicked. We could have the exact same conversation.
