The Obsessive Is One Who Believes They Don't Lack

Nicholas: The lack that is lacking in the experience of anxiety is your own. Bruce Fink has some pretty good charts for for understanding obsession, so he'll usually show up and want to chart like human relationships along something like this. And so you have a split subject and this could be a barred other to the obsessive who can't handle the desirousness of another. It drives up the wall. So they're going to cancel this person out, but they want to claim and keep a part of that person that the obsessive feels like can complete them and make them whole. That's kind of where I was going with that.
