The diversity of Indigenous populations is sort of lumped together when they're just seen as on the margins of the margins. And oftentimes students are trying to look for community and institutions who are not recognizing the needs of Indigenous students by and large. "Universities and colleges need to do better by their Indigenous students," she says.
