The Ripple Effect of the Military Exercises in Japan
There's an increasing feeling among Japan's leaders that an invasion of Taiwan would very quickly become the emergency for Japan. The American troops that would go to Taiwan's defense if such a defense were made are based in Japan. And also there's a suspicion that one of the things China might do is occupy maritime territory and possibly seize Japanese islands, says Richard Quest.
