Many new year's traditions took place just as the clock struck midnight. Harold wanted to make sure he was ready for them when the time approached. He had been so desperate to prepare that he bought the grapes weeks in advance. As he put the twelfth grape in his mouth, he felt sick and before he could stop himself, he'd thrown up. There his sick landed on the pile of salt, ruining any good luck the turkish tradition had brought.
