The Christian Hope in Suffering

The hope in suffering is that it's actually in suffering that your future moves towards your life. Jesus is the great sufferer who comes and joins you and went there first. His promise is not that suffering is somehow an absence of his presence, but that somehow suffering is a submission to his intimacy. There is a knowing him that only happens in those deepest places. Even when you fail in your trials, God is still so in perseverance and strength to endure into your life.
