The Trust Is Only One Way With These Big Corporations
I'm all for high trust, but these institutions are not the sources of that trust. They're purely exploiting it and sucking it dry. Well, when they weren't weighing your items as you scanned it, that's a form of trust. And so that's them like trusting you, and then they got burnt by us taking too much. Right? I would argue that because people don't shoplift enough from these self checkout kiosks, that's why we had the fiasco with COVID. But that was an unintended consequence of everyone until then obeying these insulting dystopian, machinic processes that we are subjected to in our grocery stores.
