Is the CSTO Nearing Collapse?
The Shanghai Corporation Organization has already expanded beyond the kind of initial Central Asian base that it had. It wouldn't surprise me if that organization continues to expand and were the CSTO to collapse. I don't think China would see, oh, well, maybe we need to create an alternative in the region. But again, I wouldn't discount it as something that could potentially happen.
