We externalize our sense of, say, agency or doership in an imaginary way. And when we do that, what we're overlooking is this subtle sense of helplessness. Helplessness is an interesting thing, because to the egoic mind, it's the last thing it wants to experience. To natural reality, in a sense, everything is sort of helpless. Everything is sort of innocent and helpless. Animals are helpless. We're helpless. The buddhist that, you know, we're all of the nature to grow old, be diseased and die.
