The Libertarian Mindset
In my world, some of these CTA traders, trend following guys, a lot of libertarian perspectives. I think the equity markets attract an abnormal number of libertarians or people that didn't know they were libertarians until they actually have to show up to work and produce returns in order to buy groceries. And after you've done that for a few decades, you realize that can depend on you and really no one else. The eat what you kill mentality lends itself well to people that are very independent and believe in themselves.
