The Origins of Apuleus' Love Story
The story of Psyche and Eros appears only in Apuleus, but there are no surviving sources in Greek. The author was interested in commenting on the modern cultural zeitgeist of these Trojan war retellings. She also wanted to comment on a perspective of the Trojan war from the people who didn't fight in it.
