Koyo was active from 1976 through 1986. He would bind his victims with shoelaces or plates and then kill them if he heard any rattling of the plates. The rapes were repeated and brutal. In several cases, he would call people after the fact and talk through clenched teeth and say, I'm going to Koyo.
